Tiers of Membership
There are several tiers of Membership:
Student Member
Associate Member
Full Member
Lay Member
Life Member
Honorary Member
Full Member (International Chapter)
Our members come from all walks of life.
All Associate and Full Members receive a Practicing Certificate annually upon payment of fees.
All Full Members received a Society Diploma.
Student Membership
The criterion for Student Membership is as follows: -
- Individuals currently engaged in hypnotherapy studies in an approved course as determined by the Constitution and the guidelines below.
- A current First Aid Certificate.
- Be pursuing an approved course of a minimum of 2450 hours that must include the following: -

Associate Membership
The criterion for Associate Membership is as follows: -
- Individuals who have completed a course in hypnotherapy as approved by the Executive and in accordance with the Constitution (definition of an approved course detailed in Student Membership Section).
Full Membership
The criterion for Full Membership is as follows: -
- An Associate Member of at least one years standing who has also been practicing hypnotherapy professionally for a period of not less than twelve months.
Lay Membership
Individuals able to prove a keen interest in Hypnotherapy.
Life Membership
A Full Member of the Society admitted to Life Membership by the special invitation of the Executive.
Honorary Membership
An individual not a member of the Society, admitted to membership by special invitation of the Executive.
Full Membership (International Chapter)
A Member of an overseas affiliated society who is required to pay normal membership fees yet is not entitled to hold any office and has no voting rights in any capacity.
