Raised in Auckland, but having lived in Hamilton since 1989, I am married to Louise, we have two awesome boys who keep me fairly well grounded, I am lucky enough to have been there to enjoy every stage in their lives so far, I think this helps to keep me young at heart.
I
was introduced to Hypnotherapy by a past student of the NZ School of
Clinical Hypnotherapy, and this is where I also trained and Graduated
in 2002, Since then I have enjoyed the challenge of working with an
incredible range of issues and with clients of all ages, from
children as young as 5 up to the elderly.
I believe that our Society has a critical part to play in promoting the interests of its members in the community, the Health sector and the Government, and that is why I have been involved on the executive committee, as the Treasurer for the last 6 years, and now as Vice President. I enjoy being part of the committee and the contact with membership and as you all know the committee is a voluntary job, but one which does also require your support and assistance. I urge each and everyone to also put some time and effort to support your President and committee to help further your interests this year.
LINDSAY JANE
COOK - Vice President

I was born in Auckland in 1965 and educated at St Cuthbert's College. After leaving school I worked in Dorset, England as a "Galloping Matron" where I looked after young ladies at Hanford Boarding School whilst studying for my BHSAI, a horse management and riding instructor’s qualification. Upon returning to New Zealand I held Sales and Marketing positions mainly with multi national companies. This gave me good grounding in the world of business.
In
the early 1990s I consulted a Clinical Hypnotherapist named Raymond
Parker and became fascinated by the amazing results. So I
studied with the New Zealand School of Hypnotic Science
and qualified
in 1994 with a Diploma of Clinical Hypnotherapy. I am a full
member of the New Zealand Society of Clinical and Applied
Hypnotherapy, as well as being a member of the committee.
I run a general Clinical practice from Tauranga and conduct clinics New Zealand wide specialising in Sports Hypnotherapy for athletes, particularly equestrian sports athletes. Coupled with my experience in the corporate world I also coach sales and management executives to help achieve their targets, and run stress management workshops throughout the country.

father who is the Governing Director. I divide my time

position I have held for the last eight years.

CHRIS JACQUES
I
first became seriously interested in Hypnotherapy in 2002 when it was
introduced to me as a method of managing pain. After obtaining good
results myself, I then contacted the New Zealand School of Clinical
Hypnotherapy and soon after began studying Hypnotherapy in 2003. After
3 years of study I graduated with a Diploma of Clinical
Hypnotherapy.
Since then my study has continued as I explore the increasing possibilities of the applications of Hypnotherapy. I operate my own clinic called the Hypnotherapy and Mind Expansion Clinic, in which emphasis is placed on education, perception and retraining the mind and the way we think. My clinic is centrally located in the lower South Island, as I am based 5 minutes walk from downtown Wanaka. I have been a member of the New Zealand Society of Clinical and Applied Hypnotherapy since 2003 and became a member of the NZSCAH committee in 2008.
PAUL BROWN

My first unknowing use of hypnosis was talking my way through a very successful half marathon personal best. Many years down the track after discovering exactly what a person can achieve working with a well trained Hypnotherapist I have my Diploma from the New Zealand School of Clinical Hypnotherapy. I bring to hypnotherapy many years experience in the business sector and a desire for a level of professionalism acceptable to other health professionals and the community in general. In my first years of practice working with a wide ranging spread of clients working with conditions as diverse as insomnia and migraines, stress, smoking cessation to sports motivation (and many more) assisting them to make positive change to their lives. Away from hypnotherapy I am married with 3 kids and enjoy running and mountain biking, reading, model making and supporting my local football club Auckland City FC.

Former Teacher (Primary. Intermediate and High School).
I
have been a Clinical Hypnotherapist for over 30 years and during this
time I have travelled widely overseas examining hypnotherapy and
allied techniques in many overseas countries including Australia,
USA, Great Britain and Europe. In 1984 I inaugurated the New Zealand
School of Hypnotic Science, which became the present day New School
of Clinical Hypnotherapy that is the only Hypnotherapy Private
Training Establishment that is Registered and Accredited with NZQA. I
am the Governing Director of the School and operate the School with
my daughter Donna-Maree Parker who is the Managing Director.
I am the only existing founding member of The New Zealand Society of Clinical and Applied Hypnotherapy and was its first President.

Dip.Clin.Hyp. - NZ School of Clinical Hypnotherapy;
Committee Member of the NZ Society of Clinical and Applied Hypnotherapy; Member and Licensed Tutor - NFSH UK; Vice President and Training Officer - NFSH (NZ) Inc.; CAT (Certificate in Adult Teaching); Registration Board Member - NZ Charter of Health Practitioners. Originally from Canada, lived in Scotland for 10 years, naturalised citizen of NZ for over 20 years, I have been interested in Natural Health and the Power of the Mind for the past 20 years. For the last 15 years my husband and I have run a Holistic Healing Centre in Thames. Learning Self-Hypnosis, which helped with my own healing process and pain control, led me to investigate Hypnotherapy more thoroughly. Having trained with the NZ School of Clinical Hypnotherapy, I am now working as a professional Clinical Hypnotherapist, greatly adding to my skills as a Natural Health Practitioner. My motto - the more you learn, the more there is to learn – and the better you are able to help those in need.
